is by using ‘Command prompt.’
First
method: How to Create Shortcut keys in Windows 10 by using ‘Start Menu.’
With this method, you can
directly create the Shortcut keys from the Start Menu. But this method is for
creating a shortcut key for ‘desktop app’ or any application that is installed
directly rather than from the Window store.

Click on ‘Start’ button and open
the Start menu.
2.
Click on ‘All apps.’
3.
Right click on the app you want
on the desktop as a shortcut and select ‘Open file location.’
4.
Now, Right-click on the shortcut
icon and open ‘Properties.’
5.
Click on the ‘Shortcut key’ box
into the properties window.
6.
Enter a key combination into the
‘Shortcut key,’ box. (Combination must be in the form of ‘Ctrl + Alt + a letter
or a number).
Note: Do not use the same
key combination twice. Also, note that not to use any program’s shortcut keys.
7.
Click on the ‘OK’ button to save.
Second
method: How to Create Shortcut key in Windows 10 by using ‘Command prompt.’
If in the first method you
are not getting the option of ‘Open file location’ then you can use this
method. In this method, you need to create a shortcut of the application on the
desktop to create a shortcut key for that application.
1.
Open ‘Command prompt’ by typing
‘cmd’ into search box/Cortana.
2.
Type or copy paste this “explorer
shell:AppsFolder” at the command prompt.
3.
Press ‘Enter’. (A new window will
appear with all of your apps).
4.
Right-click on the app and Select
‘Create Shortcut.’
5.
Click ‘OK’ on the confirming
window to create the shortcut on the desktop.
6.
Now, go to your desktop.
7.
Right-click on the shortcut icon
of the app.
8.
Open ‘Properties.’
9.
Click on ‘Shortcut key’ box into
the properties window. To enter a shortcut key combination.
10.
Enter a key combination into the
‘Shortcut key, box. (Combination must be in the form of ‘Ctrl + Alt + a letter
or a number).

11.
Click on the ‘OK’ button to save.
