How to Clear Cache from Chrome


Cache are the small data files that are downloaded into your device when you visit any website from your device. These are the temporary internet files which your browser downloads in the form of website images, data, and documents so that this information can be retrieved for next visit to the same website for faster viewing.  Once this local copy of website information is downloaded your browser will be able to load some data from each page you have visited without downloading that information again from the website. It will help in loading webpage faster.

Some of your browser’s annoying problems can be fixed merely by clearing the cache. It is a quite simple and effective solution. In Google Chrome browser, you can clear cached images and files, and also you can delete other forms of data like browser history, saved password, Autofill form data, etc. Removing these things may result in slower loading of websites for the first time; otherwise, there will not be any side effect of this.


Step to Clear Cache in Chrome of your Android device

1.    Open Google Chrome app in your device.

2.    Tap on ‘Three Vertical Dots.’ on the top-right of your screen.

3.    Select ‘Settings.’

4.    In the Advanced section, tap on ‘Privacy.’

5.    Tap on blue ‘Clear browsing Data’ button.

6.    Mark the type of data you want to clear.

7.    And tap on ‘Clear.’

Step to Clear Cache in Chrome on Computer

1.    Open Google Chrome.

2.    Click on ‘Three Vertical Dots.’ on the top-right of your screen.

3.    Select ‘More Tools.’ Then click on ‘Clear Browsing data.’

(Note: You can also open it directly by using “Ctrl+Shift+Delete.”

4.    Now select the ‘Time range’ according to you.

5.    Mark the boxes for the type of data you want to clear.

6.    Now, click the blue ‘Clear Data’ button to finish.

Clearing browser cache helps in speeding up your device. But this will slow down the loading of websites for the first time. You need to sign in again into the sites you're already signed in. In some browser you can configure browser’s settings to clear cache & cookies on exiting from the browser.
