How to Fix Keyboard Not Working in Chrome
Google Chrome, a critically-acclaimed web browser, is used in
millions of personal computers. It is faster and works smoother than any other
web browser, but numerous people reported a strange problem while using Chrome.
According to them, the keyboard is not working only when trying to type in
Chrome. That means the web software is not receiving the inputs from the
keyboard. Sometimes, while refreshing the software works or the situation gets
worse. The keyboard detection problem is not new, but still, it exists and
results in the struggle to web browsing. Though it is a serious problem, yet
there are solutions to solve it efficiently.

Press Windows key twice.

to solve the problem. Again try working in chrome. The keyboard should
function.

Disable Use Hardware acceleration
• Click three dots at the top right corner of
the browser.
• Go to Settings and scroll down to open Advanced.
• Scroll down to System section and
disable Use hardware acceleration when available.
• Now close the browser and re-launch it.
• If the problem still continues, then disable
your extensions.
• Again go to the three dots and click More
tools.
• Click Extensions and disable all the
extensions in Chrome.
• Restart chrome and check if there is a
problem.

Clean cache and history
• Cleaning Chrome’s cache and history could be
effective.
• Either press Ctrl + Shift + Del
together or go to settings to open Clear browsing data menu.
• In Settings, scroll down and click Advanced.
• In Privacy and Security section, click Clear
Browsing Data.
• Select time range and set to All Time.
• Select all options given below including Cookies
and other site data.
• Click CLEAR DATA.

Reinstall Chrome
• Reinstallation can help as all the settings
will get back to default settings. This might resolve problems occurring
Chrome.
• If it is taking time a lot, then you can reset
the settings from Settings option.

Update Chrome
• Reinstallation or resetting the Chrome will
work, but in case if it doesn’t then update Chrome. You can also download a new
version of Chrome which will resolve the issue.
All the solutions above are efficient to solve the keyboard
problem in Chrome. You can try any one of these; if one doesn’t work then try
the other solutions and make your Chrome run again.
